OutPOCPAC Endorsement Meeting
Date: Thursday, October 25, 2001
Time: 6:30PM - 9:00PM
Place: Audre Lorde Project
85 South Oxford Street
Brooklyn
Since the spring, OutPOCPAC has played a key role in mobilizing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit and Transgendered People of Color to impact the city's political process. With the November 6th elections less than 3 weeks away, the field of candidates has narrowed. We have invited candidates for Mayor from various political parties to join us in an open discussion on their vision for the future of New York City. Other selected races will also be discussed.
This year's election will transform city government. This is a critical opportunity to make our voices heard and harness our collective strength.
The community forum is open to all. In addition, OutPOCPAC members will decide on endorsements in these races. Membership applications are available on our website and will also be available at the meeting.
Our communities and our votes must not be taken for granted!
